Reflection
In a excerpt from William Bradford's Of Plymouth Plantation, although the puritans experience hardship in their voyage to America in their initial arrival they still maintain their reverence to God and each other(their initial reason for fleeing England). But it pleased God before they came half seas over, to smite this young man with a grievous disease, of which he died in a desperate manner, and so was himself the first that was thrown overboard. Thus his curses light on his own head, and it was an astonishment to all his fellows for they noted it to be the just hand of God upon him. I chose this piece because it seems that they didn't go against anything that God had did.
In America we invite in immigrants but too many can be over bearing. In this cartoon you see a Tsunami being represented as the amount of immigrants we are receiving. In America today, there is a huge amount of legal and nonlegal immigrants which in turn affect the population. Also in the cartoon you see Lady Liberty saying "Give me your tired,your poor.". This is pretty much an open armed invitation for people to come into America. We send out our help but there are certain limitations because you have to be legally in America.

I think it would help if you separate the paragraph from the relflection and expand a bit more. All the political cartoon needs is a quick check-over for simple mistakes like:overbearing instead of over bearing. Just simple things like that. Great background by the way.
